Large-Format CNC Plasma Cutting

Pacific Roll operates a CNC plasma cutting table with a 10-foot by 20-foot cutting envelope — large enough to handle full structural plates, oversized gussets, base plates, and custom flat shapes in a single pass without repositioning the material. The table is driven by CNC motion control, meaning cuts are executed from a digital file rather than by hand, producing consistent geometry and repeatable accuracy across a full production run.

Plasma cutting uses a high-velocity jet of ionized gas to melt and expel metal along a programmed cut path. The process is fast, produces a clean kerf, and is effective across a wide range of steel thicknesses — making it the standard method for producing flat plate components used in structural fabrication, rolling, and welded assemblies.

Steel Plate & Structural Steel Cutting

Pacific Roll's CNC plasma cutting service supports a wide range of structural and fabrication applications. Typical parts include:

  • Base plates and column caps
  • Gussets and stiffeners
  • Connection plates and brackets
  • Flanges and end plates
  • Flat blanks for rolling or bending
  • Custom structural shapes
  • Fabrication components
  • Decorative and architectural steel shapes

We accept DXF and DWG files directly. If you have a drawing in either format, we can import it into the cutting program and produce parts from it without additional drafting. For customers without CAD files, we can work from dimensioned sketches or part descriptions and produce the cut file in-house.

CNC Cutting for Fabricators

Structural steel fabricators often need CNC-cut components that then go on to be rolled, bent, or welded into finished assemblies. Pacific Roll can provide the cut components and then perform the rolling or bending in-house — eliminating the coordination and lead time involved in sourcing cut parts from a separate vendor.

If you are a fabricator who needs plates cut to net or near-net shape before rolling, or connection hardware cut to match a structural assembly, contact us to discuss combining operations. Having cutting and forming available from the same supplier can simplify your supply chain and reduce handling between processes.

Cutting + Rolling + Fabrication

One of the advantages of working with Pacific Roll is the ability to combine multiple processes with a single supplier. We can handle:

    CNC plasma cutting

Flat plate and structural shapes cut from DXF or DWG files.

    Oxy-fuel cutting

For applications where oxy-fuel is the appropriate process.

    Metal rolling

Plate rolling, beam rolling, HSS rolling, and section rolling.

    Tube and structural bending

HSS, pipe, and structural tube bending to radius.

    Welding

Welding of fabricated assemblies and formed components.

    Fabrication

Assembly and fabrication of cut and formed components.
